Dear Scabby
Isn't it annoying when an artist is great at what he does but sucks as a person? How can these two combine? Does he "save" his good side for his art? And does that make him a true Artist or just someone pretty good at his job? But then...can great art be "just a job"?

Thank you.

This seems to be a common situation. Most people, I find, really do the best they can. If an artist is making a valuable contribution to the world through his work, does that excuse him for being an asshole in his personal interactions with others? Of course not. All the same, artists are people and, as such, they do the best they can. I know I do. I prefer to try not to judge others too harshly. I’m not always very good at it, but, like most people, I do the best I can.
